Changes

The new year is approaching and it's time for change. I want to make a commitment to updating this blog every month... at least once a month. I've thought about assigning myself the task of updating it on the 24th or 25th each month. Or maybe the 1st or 15th of the month. I've contemplated assigning an element of Christmas to each month and posting about that. I've thought of lots of ideas. But none of them have really wowed me. So... my decision is to wing it. I may post on a certain day of the month, or I may post when the creative urge strikes. I may have a month that has a theme, or each month may be a hodgepodge. I may (gasp) accidentally skip a month, but I'm not planning to.

The best I can say is please stay tuned. Maybe by the time Autumn rolls around again I'll have a firm plan. Or maybe I'll still be winging it. Either way, I appreciate all of you who stop in to visit. I appreciate your comments and encouragement. I enjoy reading your blogs and am looking forward to being inspired by you in 2013.

I'm not ready to give up on this blog. I'm just ready for change...

Happy New Year!

I have one more stocking to finish for this year. Actually, I have three, but one is all that is going to get completed. Here are photos of the stockings I have stitched this year...

M&M Cookie Recipe

I put the M&M cookie recipe from my last post up on the Holiday Recipe tab. If you bake them, be sure to let me know if you liked them!

Let The Baking Begin!

I have a long list of items I want to bake this year. It includes family favorites and brand new-to-me recipes. I started this week with two family favorites: M&M cookies and Peanut Clusters.

The M&M cookies are already gone. The peanut clusters are in hiding. I'm going to bake a chocolate chip/toffee bar that's new to me next. If it's any good I'll post the recipe on the Holiday Recipe tab at the top of this page. You can find the Peanut Cluster recipe there.

Don't you just love the fragrance of fresh baked goodies?!
