It's Here!

But not in my mailbox😞

I have been eagerly running to my mailbox each day for the past two weeks anticipating the 2017 Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club Dream Book. It normally arrives at my house before Easter. This year it is no where to be found.

I even called Hallmark on Wednesday to find out what the deal was. I was told tat the books were mailed earlier this month and I should have mine by the end of the month. Bummer. I want it now.

Then yesterday I received a postcard from my local Hallmark store urging me to come in and pre-order my ornaments.

Well, I would if I had the Dream Book.

So I called them to see if they'd received the books. I was told they were supposed to receive them yesterday, but they didn't come in. Not to be discouraged, I called another Hallmark store about five miles away. Yippee! They had the books. I coerced begged forced asked my husband to run over their and picked up my Dream Book. The Sales Associate told me they had already received 20 pre-orders. I explained to her that I hadn't even received my book.

I am frustrated.

But, I got a copy of the Dream Book they pass out in the store and will choose wait patiently, well, I really mean I'll wait, until my KOC member Dream Book arrives.

I'm just glad it's here...

Christmas Time's a'Comin'

Easter is over. I'm decorating my house for the summer months which means my Patriotic decor. And my thoughts are turning toward Christmas.

I'm laying out a plan for my Christmas in July posts. I'm hoping to come up with some interesting new ideas this year. Hope being the operative word!

On my last visit to Hobby Lobby they seemed to have most of their Patriotic decor out on the floor. You know what that means... Fall and Christmas boxes will start appearing on the tops of the shelves sometime before June 1st!

I'm stitching away on the stockings I need to make this year. And I do mean need. I'm committed to stitching six stockings and I'm only about 2/3 through the first one. I'm trying desperately not to get discouraged at this early stage.

On the positive front, my Christmas gift shopping is going well. I have a couple of gifts for one of my daughters and bought a grandson's large gift already. We're re-doing our closet so I plan to have a gift corner in it to help with storage. With 14 in our immediate family and 21 of us including the extended family storage is becoming a real challenge!
