Happy Easter!

First Early Bird Christmas Sale of 2014

I opened my email yesterday to discover the first early bird Christmas Sale notice of the year!

It came from Herschners and included photos of several different Christmas crafts. I've already been in the Christmas Spirit since receiving my Hallmark KOC 2014 Dream Book in the mail on April 1st. I've pored through it several times marking the ornaments I think I want to purchase for this year. Jessica and Katie have also been through it choosing the ornaments they'd like to receive.

The countdown header at the top of my blog says 255 Days Until Christmas, it's getting closer every day!

Christmas Music: Away in a Manger

Is there anything so precious as hearing a group of children singing "Away in a Manger"? I love that my four-year-old granddaughter will spontaneously break out in singing this carol anytime, anywhere!

Away in a manger
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Lay down His sweet head
The stars
In the bright sky
Look down where lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The baby awakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying he makes
I love you Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle
'Til morning is night

Be near me Lord Jesus
I ask thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray
Bless all
The dear children
In thy tender care
And take us for Heaven
To live with thee there
